David Heald is a New York based photographer of Architecture and Fine Art

David Heald is based in New York and Connecticut and collaborates closely with architects, landscape architects, interior designers and collectors to create distinctive views of their projects throughout the world. David's photography is distinguished by a refined sensitivity to light, space and design. His compositions are founded on a passion for art and architecture and many years of experience photographing buildings and fine art objects. 

His career began with seven years in the photography studio at the Cleveland Museum of Art, where he acquired expertise in photographing art objects from one of the finest encyclopedic collections in the world.

In addition to his architectural photography practice, since 1981 Heald has been Photographer for the Guggenheim Museum in New York where he has created an extended photographic study of Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic masterpiece on Fifth Avenue. In recent years he has photographed numerous architectural projects for the Guggenheim including Frank Gehry's Guggenheim Bilbao, numerous Frank Lloyd Wright sites including Taliesin East in Wisconsin, and the exquisite palazzo and garden of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
